Hand building bowls!

Hand building is a different process than throwing on a potters wheel. Each has its own tricks of the trade so to speak. I collect mostly  wooden molds that have been handmade originally and use them to create my dinner and serving ware, carrying the uniqueness of the original piece into my pieces. This gives each work a natural and organic feel in your hands, as well as its own individual character. This is my latest mold acquired that I am super excited about! Vintage oval 18” bowl from right here in Vermont! This is my first creation with it and made for a great friend and fantastic cook and grill master Art Harris!
